In 2009, with just $50 and a clear calling from God, Founder Dewanda Harris obeyed a divine command: “Open a youth ministry.” Renting a small community room in Oxford, she set out to reach young people trapped in gangs, drugs, and violence.

As these youth found joy in knowing someone saw hope in them, lives began to change. Parents became involved, and the ministry’s impact quickly multiplied. Driven by a heart that refused to turn anyone away, Dewanda even opened her own home to serve those in desperate need—risking everything to ensure her neighbors had a safe haven.

Today, True Deliverance Outreach Ministry continues to operate with that exact same radical compassion and unwavering faith, striving daily to expand its services and secure a permanent home for healing.
